We count on rain, in the summer season to help us achieve so many great tasks.
We wash puppies feet after a muddy walk;
We water the pots around the house;
We clean golf clubs with fresh rain water;
We fill buckets and wash cars
We use it the water to keep the campfire safe.
Rain water is important for all these tasks, as the water collected is more pure, less treated and very often more alkaline.
and it’s free:)
We collect hundreds of gallons of water each year and encourage our guests to use the water as they see fit.
How does this help?
We have committed to reducing our municipal water consumption by 5% each year while at the same time making sure that the water collected in the rain barrels is being used for purpose.
